     John Allen Kingsmill was born in 1793 at Borris-in-Ossory, County Laois, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Kingsmill and Mary Allen.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Johnston on 8 August 1825 at St. Phillips Church of England, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He married, secondly, Ann Driscoll in 1829 at St.James Church of England, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He died on 7 July 1869 at Lawes Street, East Maitland, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He was buried at Old Glebe Cemetery, East Maitland, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹
     He was Sergeant with the Royal Irish Constabulary circa 1823.¹ On 12 August 1823 he lead a team of police who were involved in a fight with a public house patron, a Richard McDaniel, who was mortally wounded.¹ On 25 March 1824 he was found guilty of manslaughter, and sentenced to be transported for life.¹ He emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G, arriving on 22 February 1825 transported ‘for life’ aboard Asia I.¹ He was a school master in 1826 at Carters Barracks, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ On 26 October 1827 he received a conditional pardon.¹ He was Commissioner for the Road Trust in 1854 at Maitland, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He was member of the District Council in 1855 at Maitland, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     Sophia Letitia Kingsmill was born on 28 September 1827 at New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Allen Kingsmill and Mary Johnston.¹ She married James Kennedy Allen, son of John Allen and Catherine Victoria Kennedy.¹
     Her married name became Allen.¹

     James Kennedy Allen is the son of John Allen and Catherine Victoria Kennedy. He married Sophia Letitia Kingsmill, daughter of John Allen Kingsmill and Mary Johnston.¹

     He was a gaoler at Parramatta Gaol, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia^G.² He emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G, arriving on 1841 on board Larne.²

     Martha Abbott was born circa 1819.² She was the daughter of Thomas Abbott and Eleanor Kingsmill.¹ She married Thomas Duke Allen, son of Thomas Allen and Ann Duke, in 1842.¹
     She emigrated with his parents to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G, arriving on 30 January 1838 on board Strathfieldsaye.² From 1842, her married name became Allen.¹
