John Allen Kingsmill1 
He was Sergeant with the Royal Irish Constabulary circa 1823.1 On 12 August 1823 he lead a team of police who were involved in a fight with a public house patron, a Richard McDaniel, who was mortally wounded.1 On 25 March 1824 he was found guilty of manslaughter, and sentenced to be transported for life.1 He emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG, arriving on 22 February 1825 transported ‘for life’ aboard Asia I.1 He was a school master in 1826 at Carters Barracks, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 On 26 October 1827 he received a conditional pardon.1 He was Commissioner for the Road Trust in 1854 at Maitland, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He was member of the District Council in 1855 at Maitland, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1
