     Daphne Winifred Barrow was born on 22 August 1957.¹ She is the daughter of Major Barney Edmund Barrow and Winifred Cresswell Taylor.¹

     2nd Lt. John Geoffrey Barrow was born on 8 November 1919.¹ He was the son of Major Ronald Edmund Barrow and Cecilia Frances Woolsey-Butler.¹ He was killed in action on the beach of De Panne, Belgium^G, in the Dunkirk retreat on 31 May 1940, he was unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, as a 2nd Lieutenant with the Royal Engineers.¹
