     Richard Atkinson was born on 6 October 1818.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Jackson Wray Atkinson and Sarah Caddell.1 He married Mary Jane Elizabeth Golding, daughter of George R. Golding and Georgiana Hume, on 14 October 1840.1 He died on 18 July 1871 at age 52.1
     He lived at Gortmore, Dundrum, County Dublin, IrelandG.1

     From 14 October 1840, her married name became Atkinson.1
