     Major Anthony Guy Atkinson was born on 10 December 1909 at Cangort, County Offaly, Ireland.^1,2 He was the son of Guy Hamilton Atkinson and Sybilla Gertrude Homan.³ He married Anne Elizabeth Lascelles-Ward, daughter of Reverend Nevill Lascelles-Ward, on 16 October 1937.¹ He died on 15 March 1985 at age 75.²
     He was educated at St. Columba’s^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War at Hong Kong, China^G, where he was mentioned in despatches, and became a Japanese prisoner of war between 1941 and 1945.¹ He retired from the military in 1952, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Artillery.¹ He lived at Cangort, Shinrone, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Loughton, Moneygall, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland^G, which he had made over to his son.¹

     Anne Elizabeth Lascelles-Ward is the daughter of Reverend Nevill Lascelles-Ward.¹ She married Major Anthony Guy Atkinson, son of Guy Hamilton Atkinson and Sybilla Gertrude Homan, on 16 October 1937.¹
     From 16 October 1937, her married name became Atkinson.¹

     Reverend Nevill Lascelles-Ward lived at Largo, Florida, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Guy Nevill Atkinson was born on 29 October 1950.¹ He is the son of Major Anthony Guy Atkinson and Anne Elizabeth Lascelles-Ward.¹ He married Mary Grace Porter, daughter of Norman Cunningham Porter, on 20 April 1974.¹
     He was educated at St. Columba’s^G.¹ He was commissioned in 1971, in the service of the Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived at Loughton, Moneygall, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary Grace Porter is the daughter of Norman Cunningham Porter.¹ She married Guy Nevill Atkinson, son of Major Anthony Guy Atkinson and Anne Elizabeth Lascelles-Ward, on 20 April 1974.¹
     From 20 April 1974, her married name became Atkinson.¹
