He He raised and kept a troop of horse in the King’s service, and for this and other services was twice offered a baronetcy, which honour he declined. It was finally arranged that he should be created a Peer under the title of Baron Dunamace in Ireland. The Patent was lodged at the Hanaper Office, but he died suddenly before the Patent had passed the Great Seal.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He was appointed Privy Councillor (P.C.)
