     Michael Corbet Andrews was born on 20 December 1874.1 He was the son of Thomas Corbitt Andrews and Marion Corbet.1 He married Florence E. Emerson, daughter of Edward Emerson, on 27 October 1926.1 He died on 3 October 1934 at age 59, without issue.1
     He was educated at Kidderminster Grammar School, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1 He was first working in the Ardoyne factory in 1891.1 He was appointed Manager when the business was sold to John Shaw Brown & Company in 1899.1 He was the Director of John Shaw Brown & Company, and Manager of all of the companies factories in 1907.1 He held the office of Chairman of the Power Loom Manufacturers’ Association between 1929 and 1931.1
