     Mary Bechinoe was the daughter of Captain Benjamin Bechinoe and Susanna Smith.1,2 She married, firstly, William Bellenden-Ker, 4th Duke of Roxburghe, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. William Bellenden and Jacomina Farmer, on 29 June 1789.2 She married, secondly, Hon. John Manners, son of John Manners and Louisa Tollemache, Countess of Dysart, on 19 August 1806.1 She died on 9 April 1838.1
     From 29 June 1789, her married name became Bellenden-Ker.2 After her marriage, Mary Bechinoe was styled as Duchess of Roxburghe on 19 March 1804. From 19 August 1806, her married name became Manners.1
