     Lieutenant William D’Arcy was born in 1780 at Gorteen, County Mayo, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Francis D’Arcy and Lucy Knox.¹ He married Mary Bartlett on 18 January 1810 at Modbury, Devon, England^G.¹ He died on 6 August 1842.¹ He was buried at Gravesend, Kent, England^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 13th Light Dragoons.¹

     Mary Bartlett married Lieutenant William D’Arcy, son of Francis D’Arcy and Lucy Knox, on 18 January 1810 at Modbury, Devon, England^G.¹
     From 18 January 1810, her married name became D’Arcy.¹

     Lady Katherine Cochrane was the daughter of Thomas Cochrane, 6th Earl of Dundonald and Catherine Hamilton.¹ She married William Wood.¹ She died on 4 October 1776.¹

     Richard Thomas Mackinnon Cochrane was born on 6 February 1927.¹ He was the son of Hon. Douglas Robert Hesketh Roger Cochrane and Enid Marion Davis.² He died on 25 December 1954 at age 27, killed in an air crash.¹

     Lady Winifred Anne Grizel Cochrane was born on 1 October 1923.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Douglas Robert Hesketh Roger Cochrane and Enid Marion Davis.² She married Alfred Ashford, son of Alfred Ashford, on 23 September 1967.¹ She died on 14 January 2000 at age 76.¹
     Lady Winifred Anne Grizel Cochrane usually went by her middle name of Anne.¹ In January 1960 she was granted the rank of an earl’s daughter.¹ From 23 September 1967, her married name became Ashford.
