     He was awarded the Royal Humane Society Medal on 12 August 1886 for saving a life on Lake Geneva.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1896 in the Colonel Plumer’s force in charge of Maxim guns, Royal Artillery, in Rhodesia.³ He fought in the Boer War, where he became a POW, and was mentioned in despatches.³ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Field Artillery.³ He fought in the First World War.³ He lived at Harare, Zimbabwe^G.

     George Meyer married Hazel Margaret Wheeler, daughter of Major Guy Danvers Wheeler, in 1962.¹

     Nigel George Paulet, 18th Marquess of Winchester was born on 23 December 1941.¹ He was the son of George Cecil Paulet and Hazel Margaret Wheeler.² He married Rosemary Anne Hilton, daughter of Major Aubrey John Hilton, on 25 November 1967.¹ He died on 8 April 2016 at age 74.
     He succeeded as the 18th Earl of Wiltshire [E., 1550] on 5 March 1968.² He succeeded as the 18th Marquess of Winchester [E., 1551] on 5 March 1968.² He succeeded as the 18th Baron St. John [E., 1539] on 5 March 1968.² He was director of Rhodesia Mineral Ventures (Pvt) Ltd, Sani-Dn Services (Pvt) Ltd and Rhodesia Mineral Ventures (1969) (Pvt) Ltd.¹ He lived in 2003 at 6A Main Road, Irene, Transvaal, South Africa.¹

     Rosemary Anne Hilton was born on 29 March 1946.¹ She was the daughter of Major Aubrey John Hilton.² She married Nigel George Paulet, 18th Marquess of Winchester, son of George Cecil Paulet and Hazel Margaret Wheeler, on 25 November 1967.² She died on 25 February 2019 at age 72.
     Her married name became Paulet. After her marriage, Rosemary Anne Hilton was styled as Marchioness of Winchester on 5 March 1968.

     Major Aubrey John Hilton lived at Harare, Zimbabwe^G.¹

     Christopher John Hilton Paulet, 19th Marquess of Winchester was born on 30 July 1969.¹ He is the son of Nigel George Paulet, 18th Marquess of Winchester and Rosemary Anne Hilton.¹ He married Christine Town, daughter of Peter Town, in 1992.¹
     He was styled as Earl of Wiltshire between 1969 and 2016.¹ He was guitarist with the pop group, Wizard.¹ He succeeded as the 19th Marquess of Winchester [E., 1551] on 8 April 2016. He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Wiltshire [E., 1550] on 8 April 2016. He succeeded as the 19th Baron St. John [E., 1539] on 8 April 2016.

     Timothy Guy Paulet was born on 26 January 1944.¹ He is the son of George Cecil Paulet and Hazel Margaret Wheeler.¹ He married Gillian Margaret Preacher, daughter of Captain Thomas Preacher, in 1972.¹

     Angela Jane Paulet was born on 15 November 1939.¹ She is the daughter of George Cecil Paulet and Hazel Margaret Wheeler.¹ She married Christopher John Fisher in 1972.¹
     Angela Jane Paulet usually went by her middle name of Jane.¹ From 1972, her married name became Fisher.¹

     Joan Frederica Mathewana Granville was the daughter of Bernard Granville.¹ She married Reverend Lord Charles Paulet, son of Charles Ingoldsby Paulet, 13th Marquess of Winchester and Anne Andrews, on 10 August 1850.² She died on 10 December 1918.¹
     Her married name became Paulet.

     Bernard Granville was born on 4 February 1804.² He was the son of Court Granville.³ He married, secondly, Anne Catherine Parker, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, 5th Bt. and Sarah Smithson, in 1830.²
