     Captain James Buller Kitson was born on 24 December 1883.² He was the son of Reverend John Buller Kitson.¹ He married Hon. Frances Margaret Palmer Howard, daughter of Robert Jared Bliss Howard and Margaret Charlotte Smith, Baroness Strathcona and Mount Royal, on 24 May 1913 at St. Mark’s Church, North Audley Street, Mayfair, London, England^G.^1,3 He died in 1976 at Chichester, Sussex, England.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹
