Edward Dutton, 4th Baron Sherborne, 1890 2

     Edward Dutton, 4th Baron Sherborne was born on 23 April 1831.1 He was the son of James Henry Legge Dutton, 3rd Baron Sherborne and Lady Elizabeth Howard.1 He married Emily Theresa de Stern, daughter of Baron Herman de Stern and Julia Goldsmid, on 5 July 1894.3 He died on 18 July 1919 at age 88, without issue.1,4
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Sherborne, of Sherborne, co. Gloucester [G.B., 1784] on 8 March 1883.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3

     Emily Theresa de Stern was born on 21 April 1847.1,3 She was the daughter of Baron Herman de Stern and Julia Goldsmid.1,3 She married Edward Dutton, 4th Baron Sherborne, son of James Henry Legge Dutton, 3rd Baron Sherborne and Lady Elizabeth Howard, on 5 July 1894.4 She died on 13 August 1905 at age 58, without issue.3
     After her marriage, Emily Theresa de Stern was styled as Baroness Sherborne on 5 July 1894. From 5 July 1894, her married name became Dutton.1

Baron Herman de Stern1

     Baron Herman de Stern was born in 1815 at Frankfurt am Main, Germany.2 He was the son of Jacob Samuel H. Stern and Theresia (?)2 He married Julia Goldsmid, daughter of Aaron Asher Goldsmid and Rachel Keyser, on 10 May 1845.2,3 He died on 20 October 1887 at 4 Hyde Park Gate, London, England.2
     He was partner of Stern Brothers, merchant bankers.2 He was created Baron de Stern [Portugal] on 29 July 1864.2
