Sir John Chichester, the younger1 
He gained the rank of Serjeant-Major in the Army in Ireland.1 He held the office of Governor of Carrickfergus in 1597.1 On 4 November 1597 at Carrickfergus, County Antrim, IrelandG, he was captured by Randal MacSorley Macdonnell, while on a sally from the town.1
