     He held the office of Prebendary of Exeter.¹

     Thomas Archer Colt was born on 29 December 1851.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Archer Colt, 7th Bt. and Frances Chadwick.² He married, firstly, Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson, daughter of Reverend H. L. Nicholson, on 27 June 1881.¹ He and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson were divorced in 1895.¹ He married, secondly, Annie Mercy Kennett, daughter of William Kennett, in 1897.¹ He died on 23 April 1930 at age 78.¹
     He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (L.R.C.P.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Reverend H. L. Nicholson graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹

     Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson is the daughter of Reverend H. L. Nicholson.² She married Thomas Archer Colt, son of Sir Thomas Archer Colt, 7th Bt. and Frances Chadwick, on 27 June 1881.¹ She and Thomas Archer Colt were divorced in 1895.¹
     From 27 June 1881, her married name became Colt.

     Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Archer Colt, 9th Bt. was born on 16 September 1882.¹ He was the son of Thomas Archer Colt and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson.² He married Louisa May Whitaker, daughter of Joseph Edward Whitaker, in 1927.¹ He died on 10 February 1951 at age 68, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in 1922 in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded, and was mentioned in despatches twice.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 12th Battalion, Gloustershire Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was Area Commander of the Ulster Special Constabulary of County Tyrone

between 1922 and 1926.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Colt, of St. James’s, Westminster, Middlesex [E., 1694] on 23 June 1931.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Joseph Edward Whitaker lived at Paignton, Devon, England^G.¹

     Louisa May Whitaker was the daughter of Joseph Edward Whitaker.² She married, firstly, John Cuthbert Whittam before 1927.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Archer Colt, 9th Bt., son of Thomas Archer Colt and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson, in 1927.¹ She died in March 1952.¹
     From before 1927, her married name became Whittam.¹ From 1927, her married name became Colt.

     Mabel Emily Colt was born on 26 July 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Archer Colt and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson.² She married Henry Trevor Meredith on 7 June 1915.¹
     From 7 June 1915, her married name became Meredith.¹

     Henry Trevor Meredith married Mabel Emily Colt, daughter of Thomas Archer Colt and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson, on 7 June 1915.¹ He died in 1966.¹

     Helen Enid Colt was born on 5 April 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Archer Colt and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson.² She died on 30 November 1968 at age 81, unmarried.¹
