     Theodora Agnes Clarke Durning-Lawrence was born on 11 December 1889.¹ She was the daughter of Sir James Clarke Lawrence, 1st and last Bt. and Agnes Harriette Castle.¹
     She was given the name of Theodora Agnes Clarke Lawrence at birth.¹ On 14 July 1914 her name was legally changed to Theodora Agnes Clarke Durning-Lawrence by Royal Licence.¹

     Alfred Lawrence was born on 29 October 1824.¹ He was the son of William Lawrence and Jane Clarke.¹ He died in November 1825 at age 1.¹

     Frederick Lawrence was born on 4 April 1828.¹ He was the son of William Lawrence and Jane Clarke.¹ He died on 31 May 1864 at age 36, unmarried.¹

     Joseph Lawrence was born on 9 April 1830.¹ He was the son of William Lawrence and Jane Clarke.¹ He died on 30 April 1830.¹

     Sir Edwin Durning-Lawrence, 1st and last Bt. was born on 2 February 1837.¹ He was the son of William Lawrence and Jane Clarke.¹ He married Edith Jane Smith, daughter of J. B. Smith and Jemima Durning, on 11 June 1874.¹ He died on 21 April 1914 at age 77.¹
     He was given the name of Edwin Lawrence at birth.¹ He graduated from London University, London, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from London University, London, England^G, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)¹ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1867 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Truro between 1895 and 1906.¹ On 2 February 1898 his name was legally changed to Edwin Durning-Lawrence by Royal Licence.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Durning-Lawrence, of King’s Ride, Ascot, co. Berks [U.K.] on 11 March 1898.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Edith Jane Smith was the daughter of J. B. Smith and Jemima Durning.¹ She married Sir Edwin Durning-Lawrence, 1st and last Bt., son of William Lawrence and Jane Clarke, on 11 June 1874.¹ She died on 27 April 1929.¹
     From 11 June 1874, her married name became Lawrence.¹ From 2 February 1898, her married name became Durning-Lawrence.¹

     J. B. Smith married Jemima Durning, daughter of William Durning and Jane Lang.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He lived at King’s Ride, Ascot, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Jemima Durning was born on 16 May 1804 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.² She was the daughter of William Durning and Jane Lang.^1,2 She married J. B. Smith.¹ She died on 21 April 1875 at age 70.²
     Her married name became Smith.¹
