He was educated at Chillon College, SwitzerlandG.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Owen, of Orielton, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1813] on 20 September 1973.1 On his death, his title became dormant.

He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pembroke between 1626 and 1660.1 He was created 1st Baronet Owen, of Orielton, co. Pembroke [England] on 11 August 1641.1
