He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He was a practising solicitor.1 He graduated from St. John’s College, Durham University, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG, in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) (Honours.)1 He lived in 1999 at 43 Lonsdale Rd, Harbe, Birmingham, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] on 28 May 2015.2
