     John Herbert Bowman was born on 27 September 1846.¹ He was the son of John Eddowes Bowman and Ellen Paget.² He married Katharine Lister, daughter of John S. Lister.¹

     Katharine Lister was the daughter of John S. Lister.² She married John Herbert Bowman, son of John Eddowes Bowman and Ellen Paget.¹ She died in 1874.¹
     Her married name became Bowman.

     Herbert Lister Bowman was born on 15 March 1874.¹ He was the son of John Herbert Bowman and Katharine Lister.² He married Pleasance Edith Walker, daughter of James Walker, on 28 December 1921.¹ He died on 22 April 1942 at age 68.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.)¹ He was Waynflete Professor of Mineralogy.¹ He was a Fellow at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     James Walker lived at Kempsey, Worcestershire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Pleasance Edith Walker was the daughter of James Walker.² She married Herbert Lister Bowman, son of John Herbert Bowman and Katharine Lister, on 28 December 1921.¹ She died on 9 April 1965.¹
     From 28 December 1921, her married name became Bowman.

     George Cyril Bowman was the son of John Eddowes Bowman and Ellen Paget.² He married, firstly, Frederica Merriman.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Percival Clark.¹ He died on 6 March 1915.¹

     Frederica Merriman married George Cyril Bowman, son of John Eddowes Bowman and Ellen Paget.¹
     Her married name became Bowman.

     Paget John Merriman Bowman was the son of George Cyril Bowman and Margaret Percival Clark.² He married Sybil Mary Gilpin, daughter of Captain Norcliffe Gilpin, on 3 May 1905.¹ He died on 23 February 1928, following a car crash.¹

     Captain Norcliffe Gilpin gained the rank of Captain in the 84th Regiment.¹
