He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Holden, of Alston, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1908] on 25 March 1912.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Holden, of Oakworth House, Keighley, co. York [U.K., 1893] on 25 March 1912.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire.2

Angus William Eden Holden, 3rd Baron Holden1 

Angus William Eden Holden, 3rd Baron Holden was born on 1 August 1898.1 He was the son of Ernest Illingworth Holden, 2nd Baron Holden and Ethel Eden Cookson.1 He died on 6 July 1951 at age 52, unmarried.1
He was with the Diplomatic Service to the Holy See in 1918.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Spain between 1921 and 1924.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Germany between 1924 and 1926.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Holden, of Alston, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1908] on 30 January 1937.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Holden, of Oakworth House, Keighley, co. York [U.K., 1893] on 30 January 1937.1
On his death, his barony became extinct.1
