Berks [U.K., 1858] on 26 December 1878.1 He held the office of a Lord of the Treasury between 1880 and 1882.1 He held the office of Financial Secretary to the War Office between 1882 and 1885.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Walsall between 1893 and 1895.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1894.1 He was created 1st Baron Haversham, of Bracknell, co.
