Sir Benjamin Dunbar of Hempriggs, 3rd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dunbar, of Hempriggs, co. Caithness [N.S., 1706] on 12 June 1793.1 He styled himself as 5th Lord Duffus [S., 1650] on 30 January 1827.1 In June 1838 he petitioned the House of Lords as to his rights to the Lordship of Duffus, but no further proceedings were taken.1

George Mackay of Bighouse1 

George Mackay of Bighouse was born on 29 June 1736.2 He was the son of Robert Mackay.2 He married Louisa Campbell, daughter of Colin Campbell of Glenure and Janet Mackay, on 11 June 1768.2 He died in 1798.2
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Reay Fencibles.3 He lived at Bighouse, Sutherland, ScotlandG.4

In 1838 he petitioned the House of Lords with his father as to his rights to the Lordship of Duffus, but no further proceedings were taken.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dunbar, of Hempriggs, co. Caithness [N.S., 1706] on 27 January 1843.1 He styled himself as 6th Lord Duffus [S., 1650] on 27 January 1843.1
On his death, the heir male line of the body of the 1st Lord Duffus became extinct along with any claim to the title.1

He was educated at Lurgan College, Lurgan, County Armagh, IrelandG.1 He was commissioned in 1896, in the service of the British Army.1 He was educated at Wimbledon College, Wimbledon, London, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He was commanding officer of the Royal Irish Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches six times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1929.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1930.1 He was Colonel of the 56 (1st London) Division, Territorial Army between 1931 and 1934.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1934.1 He held the office of Governor of South Australia between 1934 and 1939.1 He held the office of Governor of Victoria between 1939 and 1949.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1944.1 He was created 1st Baron Dugan of Victoria, of Lurgan, co. Charles Dukes, 1st and last Baron Dukeston was born on 28 October 1881.1 He died on 14 May 1948 at age 66.1
