     John Otway Cuffe, 2nd Earl of Desart was born on 20 February 1788.1 He was the son of Otway Cuffe, 1st Earl of Desart and Lady Anne Browne.1 He married Catherine O’Connor, daughter of Maurice O’Connor, on 7 October 1817.1 He died on 22 November 1820 at age 32.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baron Desart, co. Kilkenny [I., 1733] on 9 August 1804.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Desart, co. Kilkenny [I., 1781] on 9 August 1804.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Desart [I., 1793] on 9 August 1804.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Castlecuffe [I., 1793] on 9 August 1804.

Catherine O’Connor1

     Catherine O’Connor is the daughter of Maurice O’Connor.1 She married, firstly, John Otway Cuffe, 2nd Earl of Desart, son of Otway Cuffe, 1st Earl of Desart and Lady Anne Browne, on 7 October 1817.1 She married Rose Lambart Price, son of Sir Rose Price, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Lambart, on 26 January 1824.2 She died on 13 February 1874.2
     After her marriage, Catherine O’Connor was styled as Countess of Desart on 7 October 1817. From 7 October 1817, her married name became Cuffe.1 From 26 January 1824, her married name became Price.2

     Rose Lambart Price was born on 4 July 1799.1 He was the son of Sir Rose Price, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Lambart.2 He married Catherine O’Connor, daughter of Maurice O’Connor, on 26 January 1824.1 He died on 15 January 1826 at age 26, in the lifetime of the father.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1
