Maj.-Gen. Philip George Saxon Gregson-Ellis was born on 31 August 1898 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He was the son of Colonel William Saxon Gregson-Ellis and Lilian Kington-Blair-Oliphant.1 He married Joan Henllys Lloyd, daughter of Sir Marteine Owen Mowbray Lloyd, 2nd Bt. and Katherine Helena Dennistoun, in 1921.3 He died on 20 October 1956 at age 58.3
