Philip George Saxon Gregson-Ellis was born on 31 August 1898 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.³ He was the son of Colonel William Saxon Gregson-Ellis and Lilian Kington-Blair-Oliphant.¹ He married Joan Henllys Lloyd, daughter of Sir Marteine Owen Mowbray Lloyd, 2nd Bt. and Katherine Helena Dennistoun, in 1921.³ He died on 20 October 1956 at age 58.³

     Sir Henry Tate, 4th Bt. was born on 29 June 1902.¹ He was the son of Sir Ernest William Tate, 3rd Bt. and Mildred Mary Gossage.² He married, firstly, Lilian Nairne Gregson-Ellis, daughter of Colonel William Saxon Gregson-Ellis and Lilian Kington-Blair-Oliphant, on 1 October 1927.¹ He married, secondly, Edna Stokes in 1988.¹ He died in 1994.¹
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Tate, of Park Hill, Streatham Common, London [U.K., 1898] on 25 April 1939.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was chairman of Rutland Agricultural Society between 1948 and 1968.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Rutland in 1949.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Rutland in 1964.¹

     Sir Henry Saxon Tate, 5th Bt. was born on 28 November 1931.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Tate, 4th Bt. and Lilian Nairne Gregson-Ellis.¹ He married, firstly, Sheila Ann Robertson, daughter of Duncan Robertson and Joyce Williams-Wynn, on 5 September 1953.¹ He and Sheila Ann Robertson were divorced in 1975.¹ He married, secondly, Virginia Joan Sturm on 31 January 1975.¹ He died on 11 July 2012 at age 80 at Casa Virginia, Carvoiro, Portugal.²
