Samuel Pepys1

Samuel Pepys was born on 23 February 1632.1 He was the son of John Pepys and Margaret Kite.3 He married Elizabeth de Saint Michel, daughter of Alexander Merchant de Saint Michel, on 10 October 1655.1 He died on 26 May 1703 at age 71, without issue.1
He was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He wrote the book Pepys’s Diary.1 He lived at Brampton, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Castle Rising in 1673.1 He held the office of Secretary of the Admiralty in 1684.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Harwich in 1685.1
