     Mary Patricia Sainsbury usually went by her middle name of Patricia.³ Her married name became Hordern.¹

     Paul James Sainsbury was born on 5 December 1890.¹ He was the son of John James Sainsbury and Mary Ann Staples.¹ He married Constance Helen Tilley in 1920 at Kensington, London, England.^1,2 He died on 27 October 1982 at age 91.¹

     John James Sainsbury was born on 12 June 1844.¹ He was the son of John Sainsbury and Elizabeth Coombes.¹ He married Mary Ann Staples, daughter of Benjamin Staples, on 20 April 1869.¹ He died on 3 January 1928 at age 83.¹
     In 1869 at 173 Drury Lane, London, England^G, he opened a grocer’s store, which he subsequently built into a chain of 128 stores under the Sainsbury name.¹ He was chairman and governing director of Sainsbury’s between 1922 and 1928.

     Elizabeth Susan Chataway was born in 1938 at Dorset, England.² She is the daughter of Sir James Denys Percival Chataway.³ She married Rt. Hon. Sir Peter Maudslay Hordern, son of Charles Hubert Hordern and Dorothy Donovan, in 1964.¹
     From 1964, her married name became Hordern.¹

     James Peter Hordern was born in 1967.² He is the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Peter Maudslay Hordern and Elizabeth Susan Chataway.¹ He married Lady Elspeth Pease Mackay, daughter of Kenneth Peter Lyle Mackay, 4th Earl of Inchcape and Georgina Nisbet, in August 2001.³
