Sir Henry Warde was born on 7 January 1766.2 He was the son of John Warde and Kitty Anne Hoskins.3,4 He married Molina Thomas, daughter of John Thomas, on 28 May 1808 at St. Marylebone, London, England.4 He died on 1 October 1834 at age 68 at Dean House, Alresford, Hampshire, England.2,4
     He was commissioned in 1783 with the rank of Ensign, in the service of the 1st Foot Guards.4 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 6 July 1790.4 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1808.4 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1815.4 He held the office of Governor of Barbados between 1821 and 1827.4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1831.1 He lived at Dean House, Alresford, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
