     Reverend Derwas James Chitty was born on 2 June 1901.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Charles Martin Chitty and Gwen Ethlin Georgiana Jones.^2,1 He married Anna Mary Hawthorn Clark, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edwin Kitson Clark, on 5 July 1943.¹ He died on 19 February 1971 at age 69, as the result of an accident.¹
