     He was married Mary Ann (died 1875), daughter of Dr James Willes, of Cork, and sister of Rt Honour Sir James Shaw Willes, Judge Court Common Pleas, and died 4 May 1868, with other issue: in 1854.¹ He lived at 44 Blandford Square, London, England^G.¹

     Sir Thomas Willes Chitty, 1st Bt. was born on 24 June 1855.¹ He was the son of Thomas Edward Chitty and Mary Ann Willes.^2,1 He married, firstly, Emily Eliza Newbolt, daughter of Reverend H. F. Newbolt, on 21 December 1888.¹ He married, secondly, Beatrice Maud Hale, daughter of Reverend Edward Hale, on 1 September 1904.¹ He died on 15 February 1930 at age 74.¹
     He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1877 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was managing editor of Lord Halsbury’s Laws of England.¹ He was editor-in-chief of the English and Empire Digest.¹ He held the office of Master of the Supreme Court between 1901 and 1920.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1919.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Chitty, of the Temple [U.K.] on 25 January 1924.¹ He held the office of Bencher of the Inner Temple in 1925.¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1927.¹

     Reverend James Charles Martin Chitty was born on 28 March 1865.¹ He was the son of Thomas Edward Chitty and Mary Ann Willes.^2,1 He married Gwen Ethlin Georgiana Jones in 1890.¹ He died on 7 January 1938 at age 72.¹
     He graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Rector between 1899 and 1920 at Hanwood, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He was Rural Dean of Pontesbury between 1916 and 1923.¹ He was the Rector between 1920 and 1938 at Yockleton, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Reverend John Heighway Chitty was born on 19 September 1898.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Charles Martin Chitty and Gwen Ethlin Georgiana Jones.^2,1 He married Phyllis Margaret Stevens, daughter of H. G. Stevens, on 14 February 1927.¹ He died on 18 August 1977 at age 78.¹

     James Redmond Harrison Chitty was born on 13 June 1928.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Heighway Chitty and Phyllis Margaret Stevens.^2,1 He died on 28 April 1955 at age 26, lost at sea, when the
S.S. Monowai sank on the way to New Zealand.¹

     She graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, England^G, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ She graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, England^G, in 1953 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.S.)¹ She graduated with a Diploma of Royal College of Obstretricians and Gynaecologists.¹ From 26 November 1955, her married name became Yelland. She was a general practitioner.¹ She lived in 2003 at 10 Henry Street, Wooloowin, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia^G.¹

     John Douglas Newman Yelland was the son of Ernest Yelland.² He married Margaret Ethlin Chitty, daughter of Reverend John Heighway Chitty and Phyllis Margaret Stevens, on 26 November 1955.¹ He died on 1 September 2000.¹

     Michael John Yelland was born on 26 June 1960.¹ He is the son of John Douglas Newman Yelland and Margaret Ethlin Chitty.²
