     Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt. was born circa April 1566 at Lime Street, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of William Chester and Judith Cave.¹ He was baptised on 10 April 1566 at St. Dionis Backchurch, Fenchurch Street, London, England^G.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Boteler, daughter of Sir Henry Boteler and Catherine Waller, on 24 October 1589 at St. Giles’s, Cripplegate, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Ellis, daughter of John Ellis and Elizabeth Plompton, on 5 September 1631.¹ He died on 1 December 1635 at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was buried on 3 December 1635 at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ His will (dated 25 November 1635) was proven (by probate) on 9 December 1635.¹ An inquest post mortem was held for his on 7 October 1636 at Olney^G.¹
     In August 1577 he inherited the Chicheley estates from his maternal grandmother.¹ In 1588 he raised a troop of horse.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Buckinghamshire from 1602 to 1603.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Chester, of Chicheley, co. Bucks [England] on 23 March 1619/20.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1628 to 1629.¹

     Sir William Chester held the office of Lord Mayor of London in 1560.¹

     Elizabeth Boteler was born circa 1566.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Boteler and Catherine Waller.¹ She married Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt., son of William Chester and Judith Cave, on 24 October 1589 at St. Giles’s, Cripplegate, London, England^G.¹ She died on 5 April 1629.¹ She was buried at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹
     From 24 October 1589, her married name became Chester.¹

     Mary Ellis was born circa 1606.¹ She was the daughter of John Ellis and Elizabeth Plompton.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt., son of William Chester and Judith Cave, on 5 September 1631.¹ She married, secondly, Samuel Lodington on 8 June 1658 at St. Peter’s Church, Paul’s Wharf, London, England^G.¹ She died circa September 1692.¹ She was buried on 24 September 1692 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England^G.¹ Her will (dated 19 July 1677 to 10 September 1692) was proven (by probate) on 26 September 1692.¹
     From 5 September 1631, her married name became Chester.¹ From 8 June 1658, her married name became Lodington.¹

     John Ellis lived at Rothwell, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He lived at Kidall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Plompton is the daughter of William Plompton.¹

     William Plompton lived at Plompton, England^G.¹

     Samuel Lodington married Mary Ellis, daughter of John Ellis and Elizabeth Plompton, on 8 June 1658 at St. Peter’s Church, Paul’s Wharf, London, England^G.¹ He died circa January 1662/63.¹ He was buried on 29 January 1662/63 at Temple Church, London, England^G.¹
     He was Clerk of the Midland Circuit.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.¹

     Elizabeth Cave is the daughter of Captain Francis Cave.¹
