Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt.1 
In August 1577 he inherited the Chicheley estates from his maternal grandmother.1 In 1588 he raised a troop of horse.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Buckinghamshire from 1602 to 1603.1 He was created 1st Baronet Chester, of Chicheley, co. Bucks [England] on 23 March 1619/20.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1628 to 1629.1
