     Sir John Simon Horsbrugh-Porter, 4th Bt. was born on 18 December 1938.² He was the son of Colonel Sir Andrew Marshall Horsbrugh-Porter, 3rd Bt. and Annette Mary Browne-Clayton.² He married Lavinia Rose Turton, daughter of Ralph Meredyth Turton and Mary Blanche Chetwynd-Stapylton, on 18 July 1964.² He died on 10 March 2013 at age 74.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 12th Lancers.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Porter, of Merrion Square, City and County of Dublin [U.K., 1902] on 5 February 1986.¹ He lived in 2003 at Bowers Croft, Magpie Lane, Coleshill, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.²

     Marie Laure Bischoffsheim married Charles de Noailles, son of François Joseph Napoleón de Noailles and Madeleine Dubois de Courval.¹
