     Margaret Nicol was born circa 1736.1 She was the daughter of John Nicol and Margaret Poole.1 She married James Brydges, 3rd Duke of Chandos, son of Henry Brydges, 2nd Duke of Chandos and Lady Mary Bruce, on 22 March 1753 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG, with a fortune of £150,000.1 She died on 14 August 1768 at Southgate, London, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 29 August 1768 at Whitchurch, London, EnglandG.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 8 September 1768.2
     From 22 March 1753, her married name became Brydges.1
