     Savile Brinton Crossley, 1st Baron Somerleyton was born on 14 June 1857.² He was the son of Sir Francis Crossley, 1st Bt. and Martha Eliza Brinton.² He married Phyllis de Bathe, daughter of General Sir Gerald Henry Perceval de Bathe, 4th Bt. and Charlotte Clare, on 14 December 1887.² He died on 25 February 1935 at age 77.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Crossley [U.K., 1863] on 5 January 1872.² He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for North Suffolk between 1885 and 1892.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1896.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for Halifax between 1900 and 1906.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1902.² He held the office of Paymaster-General of the Forces between 1902 and 1905.² He was Colonel of the Prince of Wales Own Norfolk, Royal Garrison Artillery between 1906 and 1909.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1909.² He gained the rank of Major between 1915 and 1916 in the 1st Suffolk Yeomanry.² He was created 1st Baron Somerleyton, of Somerleyton, co. Suffolk [U.K.] on 26 June 1916.² He held the office of a Lord in Waiting between 1918 and 1924.² He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1922.²

     Catherine Mary Cashen was born in 1918.¹ She married Desmond Joseph Shoppee, son of Arthur Collett Shoppee and Margaret Theresa Hends.¹
     Her married name became Shoppee.¹

     Margaret Renée Cayley was born on 7 December 1892.¹ She was the daughter of Sir George Everard Arthur Cayley, 9th Bt. and Lady Mary Susan Montagu-Stuart-Wortley.² She married, firstly, Commander Ernest Henry Rideout, son of Maj.-Gen. unknown Rideout, on 4 June 1915.¹ She married, secondly, William Philip Jeffcock, son of Captain James William Gully Philip Jeffcock, on 17 December 1929.¹
     From 4 June 1915, her married name became Rideout. From 17 December 1929, her married name became Jeffcock.¹

     Maj.-Gen. unknown Rideout gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Horse Artillery.¹

     Commander Ernest Henry Rideout was the son of Maj.-Gen. unknown Rideout.² He married Margaret Renée Cayley, daughter of Sir George Everard Arthur Cayley, 9th Bt. and Lady Mary Susan Montagu-Stuart-Wortley, on 4 June 1915.¹ He died on 8 January 1923.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Mary Renée Rideout was born on 14 February 1917.¹ She was the daughter of Commander Ernest Henry Rideout and Margaret Renée Cayley.² She married Major Desmond Hewitt, son of Colonel Alfred Hewitt, on 22 June 1945.¹ She died on 21 March 1951 at age 34.¹
     From 22 June 1945, her married name became Hewitt.

     Colonel Alfred Hewitt lived at Boar’s Hill, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Major Desmond Hewitt is the son of Colonel Alfred Hewitt.² He married Mary Renée Rideout, daughter of Commander Ernest Henry Rideout and Margaret Renée Cayley, on 22 June 1945.¹
     He had a son and a duaghter.¹

     Monica Winifred Mary Rideout was born on 15 August 1918.¹ She was the daughter of Commander Ernest Henry Rideout and Margaret Renée Cayley.² She died on 29 November 1992 at age 74.¹
     She was a nun.¹
