     Edith Elizabeth Smith was the daughter of Robert Smith.¹ She married Godfrey Walter, son of John Walter and Flora MacNab.¹ She died in 1927.¹
     Her married name became Walter.¹

     Robert Smith lived at Goldings, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Hubert Walter was born on 12 March 1870.¹ He was the son of John Walter and Flora MacNab.¹ He married Dame Flora Louisa Cecilia Macleod, 28th of Macleod, daughter of Sir Reginald Macleod, 27th of MacLeod and Lady Agnes Mary Cecilia Northcote, on 5 June 1901.¹ He died on 21 December 1933 at age 63.¹
     He lived at 19 Cheyne Place, London, England^G.²

     Sylvia Harvey was born in 1899.² She was the daughter of Major Charles Bateson Harvey and Catherine Maria Lascelles.^1,2 She married Rawdon Shears Payne in 1918.¹ She and Rawdon Shears Payne were divorced in 1928.² She died in 1964.²
     From 1918, her married name became Payne.¹

     Ralph Walter was born on 25 November 1871.¹ He was the son of John Walter and Flora MacNab.¹ He died on 23 February 1937 at age 65.¹

     John Walter was born on 26 February 1776.¹ He was the son of John Walter.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Anne (?)¹ He married, secondly, Mary Smythe in 1818.¹ He died on 28 July 1847 at age 71.¹
     In 1816 he purchased the estate of Bear Wood Park.¹
