     Lady Elizabeth Cathcart was the daughter of General Charles Murray Cathcart, 2nd Earl Cathcart and Henrietta Mather.2 She married General Sir John Douglas of Glenfinart, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Neil Douglas of Glenfinart, on 1 June 1843.1 She died on 27 February 1896.1
     From 1 June 1843, her married name became Douglas.1

     General Sir John Douglas of Glenfinart was born circa 7 July 1817.3 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Neil Douglas of Glenfinart.4 He married Lady Elizabeth Cathcart, daughter of General Charles Murray Cathcart, 2nd Earl Cathcart and Henrietta Mather, on 1 June 1843.1 He died on 8 September 1888.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 79th Foot.1 He was Commander of the Forces in Scotland.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1 He lived at Glenfinart, Argyllshire, ScotlandG.5
