     Sir Gilbert Clarke was born circa 1645.² He was the son of Godfrey Clarke and Elizabeth Milward.² He married, firstly, Jane Byerley, daughter of Robert Byerley, on 20 April 1661.² He married, secondly, Barbara Clerke, daughter of George Clerke, on 6 July 1671.² He married, thirdly, Frances Legh, daughter of Richard Legh and Elizabeth Chicheley, in 1691.² He died on 30 May 1701.²
     He lived at Somersall, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He was appointed Knight on 2 March 1671.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire between 1685 and 1687.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire between 1689 and 1698.²

     Sir Daniel O’Carroll, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1717.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Daniel O’Carroll, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Jervoise.¹ He died on 30 January 1758 at Four Courts Marshalsea, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, without male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet O’Carroll [I., c. 1712] on 4 November 1750.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in May 1752 in the Ligonier’s Horse.¹

     Jane O’Carroll was baptised on 19 January 1712/13 at St. Paul’s Church, Covent Gardens, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Daniel O’Carroll, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Jervoise.¹

     Sir John O’Carroll, 3rd Bt. was born on 14 February 1721/22.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Daniel O’Carroll, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Jervoise.¹ He was baptised on 25 February 1721/22 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England^G.¹ He died after June 1777.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet O’Carroll [I., c. 1712] on 30 January 1758.²

     Sir John Whitley O’Carroll, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir John O’Carroll, 3rd Bt.¹ He married Elizabeth O’Carroll, daughter of Sir Daniel O’Carroll, 2nd Bt., on 10 June 1777.¹ He died on 13 January 1818 at Frankfurt-am-Main, Hessen, Germany^G.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered in January 1818.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet O’Carroll [I., c. 1712] after 1777.¹ He was British Resident at Saxe Weimar in 1804.¹

     Elizabeth O’Carroll is the daughter of Sir Daniel O’Carroll, 2nd Bt.¹ She married Sir John Whitley O’Carroll, 4th Bt., son of Sir John O’Carroll, 3rd Bt., on 10 June 1777.¹

     Sir Jervoise O’Carroll, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir John Whitley O’Carroll, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth O’Carroll.¹ He died in 1831 at Hamburg, Germany^G, without male issue, probably unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet O’Carroll [I., c. 1712] on 13 January 1818.¹

     Sir John Whitley Christopher O’Carroll, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir John Whitley O’Carroll, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth O’Carroll.¹ He died on 2 June 1835 at Hildesheim, Niedersachsen, Germany^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet O’Carroll [I., c. 1712] in 1831.¹

     Louis Mallet, Seigneur de Granville was born in 1448.¹ He was the son of Jean V Mallet, Seigneur de Granville, Montagu et Marcoussins and Marie de Rohan.¹ He died on 13 October 1516.¹
     He gained the rank of Admiral of France.¹
