     After her marriage, Mary Buckley Mathew was styled as Baroness Carleton of Anner on 15 July 1795. From 15 July 1795, her married name became Carleton.¹ After her marriage, Mary Buckley Mathew was styled as Viscountess Carleton of Clare on 21 November 1797.

     Abednego Mathew was born in 1724.² He was the son of William Mathew and Anne Smith.² He married Jennett Buckley, daughter of William Buckley. He died in 1795.²
     He lived at Sixpenny Handley, Dorset, England^G.¹
