     Barbara Margaret Dod was born on 26 June 1913.¹ She is the daughter of Anthony Dod and Evelyn Frances Howard.²

     Richard Townshend was the son of John Townshend and Eleanor Heydon.¹ He married Catherine Brown, daughter of Sir Humphrey Brown.¹ He died before 12 February 1544/45.¹
     He lived at Brampton, Norfolk, England.¹

     Sir Roger Townshend was born in 1474.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger Townshend and Eleanor Lunsford.¹ He married Anne de Brewse, daughter of William de Brewse.¹ He died on 25 November 1551.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Calne.³ He held the office of Justice of the Court of Common Pleas.⁴ He lived at Raynham, Norfolk, England.⁴

     Anne de Brewse was the daughter of William de Brewse.² She married Sir Roger Townshend, son of Sir Roger Townshend and Eleanor Lunsford.¹ She died on 25 July 1551.²
     Her married name became Townshend.¹

     Sir Roger Townshend was born in 1430.¹ He was the son of John Townshend.² He married Eleanor Lunsford, daughter of William Lunsford and Thomasine Barrington. He died after 14 August 1493.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Calne.² He was a practising Serjeant-at-Law in 1478.² He held the office of King’s Serjeant in 1483.² He was appointed Knight in 1484.² He held the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in 1484.²

     Eleanor Lunsford is the daughter of William Lunsford and Thomasine Barrington.² She married Sir Roger Townshend, son of John Townshend.
     Her married name became Townshend.¹

     Sir Robert Townshend was born in 1512.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger Townshend and Anne de Brewse.¹ He married Alice Poppy, daughter of Robert Poppy, in 1516.² He died on 8 February 1555/56.²
     He held the office of Chief Justice of the Marches of Wales and Chester.³

     Alice Poppy is the daughter of Robert Poppy.² She married Sir Robert Townshend, son of Sir Roger Townshend and Anne de Brewse, in 1516.²
     From 1516, her married name became Townshend.

     Thomas Townshend was born in 1533.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Townshend and Alice Poppy.¹ He married Elizabeth Periente.¹ He died in 1591.¹
     He lived at Margate Hall, Bracon Ash, Norfolk, England.²

     Elizabeth Periente married, secondly, Thomas Townshend, son of Sir Robert Townshend and Alice Poppy.² She married, firstly, Sir Humphrey Styles.¹
     Her married name became Styles.¹ Her married name became Townshend.²
