He was educated between 1778 and 1781 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Carbery, of Carbery, co. Cork [I., 1715] on 26 May 1783.1 He matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, on 5 May 1784.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Rutland between 1802 and 1804.1

Susan Watson was the daughter of Colonel Henry Watson.1 She married, firstly, George Evans, 4th Baron Carbery, son of George Evans, 3rd Baron Carbery and Elizabeth Horton, on 13 August 1792 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG, with a fortune of £6,000 p.a.3 She married, secondly, George Evans-Freke, son of Sir John Evans-Freke, 1st Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Gore, on 21 January 1806 at Berkeley Street, London, EnglandG.3 She died in October 1828 at Laxton Hall, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.3 She died in August 1829.3
After her marriage, Susan Watson was styled as Baroness Carbery on 13 August 1792. From 13 August 1792, her married name became Evans.1 From 21 January 1806, her married name became Evans-Freke.3
