     James Cope Cadman was born on 24 May 1851.¹ He was the son of John Furnival Cadman.² He married Betty Keeling, daughter of Joseph Keeling, on 19 October 1874.¹ He died on 1 January 1914 at age 62.¹
     He lived Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹ He was President of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.¹ He lived at Bryncliffe, Llandudno, Caernarvonshire, Wales^G.¹

     Betty Keeling was the daughter of Joseph Keeling.² She married James Cope Cadman, son of John Furnival Cadman, on 19 October 1874.¹ She died on 4 December 1924.¹
     From 19 October 1874, her married name became Cadman.

     Sir Stephen Crichton of Cairns was the son of Sir William Crichton.² He married unknown daughter Cairns, daughter of Duncan Cairns of that Ilk. He died after 4 January 1433/34.³
     He lived at Cairns, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Linlithgow in 1432.²

     James Cadman was born on 11 December 1878.¹ He was the son of James Cope Cadman and Betty Keeling.² He married Una Mildred Tate, daughter of Simon Tate, in 1900.¹ He died on 8 September 1947 at age 68, killed in a car crash.¹
     He gained the rank of Temporary Sub-Lieutenant in 1914 in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1915.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Cavalry Division.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Newcastle-under-Lyme.¹ He was a director of the National Provident Bank.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire.¹ He was Master of Foxhounds of North Staffordshire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1933.¹ He lived at Walton Hall, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Simon Tate was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹

     Una Mildred Tate was the daughter of Simon Tate.² She married James Cadman, son of James Cope Cadman and Betty Keeling, in 1900.¹ She died on 8 March 1919.¹
     From 1900, her married name became Cadman.

     James Simon Cadman was born on 2 March 1909.¹ He was the son of James Cadman and Una Mildred Tate.² He married, firstly, Kathleen Diana Cecilia Patricia Ferguson, daughter of Sir John Ferguson, on 17 October 1934.¹ He and Kathleen Diana Cecilia Patricia Ferguson were divorced in 1967.¹ He married, secondly, Hon. Sybil Mary Cadman, daughter of John Cadman, 1st Baron Cadman and Lilian Harragin, on 8 September 1976.¹ He died in 1986.¹
