     Brig.-Gen. Philip Howell was the son of Lt.-Col. Horace Howell.² He married Rosalind Upcher Buxton, daughter of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher, on 13 September 1911.¹ He died on 7 October 1916 at Somme, France, killed in action.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Hussars.¹

     Charles Louis Buxton was born on 1 February 1846.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward North Buxton, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Gurney.² He married Maria Lee-Warner, daughter of Rev. Canon Henry James Lee-Warner and Anne Astley, on 3 July 1873.¹ He died on 23 April 1906 at age 60.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Norfolk Artillery Militia.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.¹

     Rev. Canon Henry James Lee-Warner was born on 12 April 1802.² He was the son of Reverend James Lee-Warner.³ He married Anne Astley, daughter of Reverend Henry Nicholas Astley and Sarah Pitman, on 15 October 1835.¹ He died on 10 July 1885 at age 83.²
     He lived at Thorpland Hall, Norfolk, England^G.⁴

     Maria Lee-Warner was the daughter of Rev. Canon Henry James Lee-Warner and Anne Astley.^2,3 She married Charles Louis Buxton, son of Sir Edward North Buxton, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Gurney, on 3 July 1873.¹ She died on 18 August 1930.¹
     From 3 July 1873, her married name became Buxton.

     Walter Louis Buxton was born on 6 May 1875.¹ He was the son of Charles Louis Buxton and Maria Lee-Warner.² He died on 4 September 1960 at age 85, unmarried.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s Own Norfolk Imperial Yeomanry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.¹

     Norah Louis Buxton was born on 14 April 1874.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Louis Buxton and Maria Lee-Warner.² She married W. Done Bushell on 22 November 1904.¹ She died on 17 April 1907 at age 33.¹
     From 22 November 1904, her married name became Bushell.

     W. Done Bushell married Norah Louis Buxton, daughter of Charles Louis Buxton and Maria Lee-Warner, on 22 November 1904.¹
     He was an Inspector of the Local Government Board.¹

     Amy Louis Buxton was born on 18 January 1877.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Louis Buxton and Maria Lee-Warner.² She died on 14 October 1937 at age 60.¹

     Melicent Louis Buxton was born on 19 March 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Louis Buxton and Maria Lee-Warner.² She married Gerard Anstruther Wathen, son of William Hulbert Wathen, on 16 November 1909.¹
     From 16 November 1909, her married name became Wathen.

     William Hulbert Wathen is the son of Hulbert Wathen and Harriet Louisa Blunt.
     He lived at Bexley, Kent, England^G.² He lived at Westerham, Kent, England^G.¹
