     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.¹ He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Great Yarmouth in 1896.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1902.¹ He lived at Fritton Hall, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Reverend Abbot Upcher lived at Kirby Cane, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Mary Rosalind Upcher was the daughter of Reverend Abbot Upcher.² She married Henry Edmund Buxton, son of Sir Edward North Buxton, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Gurney, on 16 October 1867.¹ She died on 4 July 1918.¹
     From 16 October 1867, her married name became Buxton.

     Abbot Redmond Buxton was born on 31 August 1868.¹ He was the son of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher.² He died on 7 March 1944 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Norfolk Yeomanry.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He lived at Fritton Hall, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Edward Hugh Buxton was born on 27 September 1880.¹ He was the son of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher.² He died on 20 November 1955 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Suffolk Hussars Yeomanry.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Italy.¹

     Winifred Buxton was the daughter of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher.² She married Colonel Arthur Charles Malleson Waterfield, son of Colonel W. G. Waterfield, on 28 November 1901.¹ She died on 21 September 1954.¹

     Colonel Arthur Charles Malleson Waterfield was the son of Colonel W. G. Waterfield.¹ He married Winifred Buxton, daughter of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher, on 28 November 1901.¹ He died on 25 October 1943.¹
     He lived at Attlebridge, Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)¹

     Violet Buxton was born circa 1872.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher.² She died on 3 February 1961, unmarried.¹

     Rosalind Upcher Buxton was born circa 1879.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Edmund Buxton and Mary Rosalind Upcher.² She married Brig.-Gen. Philip Howell, son of Lt.-Col. Horace Howell, on 13 September 1911.¹ She died on 22 September 1968.¹
     From 13 September 1911, her married name became Howell.
