     John Wood was born in 1712 at Carse, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of William Wood.¹ He married Elizabeth Riddell, daughter of Robert Riddell and Jean Fergusson, circa 1755.¹ He died on 30 April 1777 at Isle of Man^G.¹
     He held the office of Governor of the Isle of Man between 11 July 1765 and 1777.¹

     Eleanor Link was born on 30 March 1796.¹ She was the daughter of George Link and Eleanor Bradford.¹ She married George Horsley Wood, son of Maj.-Gen. John Wood and Jane Clark, on 30 November 1822 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 24 April 1830 at age 34.¹
     From 30 November 1822, her married name became Wood.¹

     Charles Warton was born on 20 August 1803.¹ He was the son of Matthew Warton and Ann Maria Gardner.¹ He was baptised on 15 September 1803.¹ He married Maria Phené, daughter of Nicholas Phené and Maria Butler, on 30 August 1831.¹ He died on 16 September 1870 at age 67 at Burwash, Sussex, England^G.¹
     He was a surveyor at London, England^G.¹

     Maria Phené was born on 4 March 1810.¹ She was the daughter of Nicholas Phené and Maria Butler.¹ She married Charles Warton, son of Matthew Warton and Ann Maria Gardner, on 30 August 1831.¹ She died in 1864 at Lower Tulse Hill, London, England^G.¹
     From 30 August 1831, her married name became Warton.¹
