James Cleland Burns, 3rd Baron Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss1 
He was chairman of Burns Steamship Company Ltd.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Dumbartonshire.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss, co. Renfrew [U.K., 1897] on 8 October 1905.1 He became a Master of the Company of Shipwrights in 1918.1

Charlotte Mary Emily Nugent-Dunbar is the daughter of Robert Nugent-Dunbar.1 She married James Cleland Burns, 3rd Baron Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss, son of John Burns, 1st Baron Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss and Emily Arbuthnot, on 2 April 1891.1
From 2 April 1891, her married name became Burns.3 After her marriage, Charlotte Mary Emily Nugent-Dunbar was styled as Baroness Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss on 8 October 1905.

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Inverclyde of Castle Wemyss, co. Renfrew [U.K., 1897] on 16 August 1919.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.1 He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 On his death, his title became extinct.1
