     Sir Roger Burgoyne, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 10 March 1618 at Wroxall, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir John Burgoyne, 1st Bt. and Jane Kempe.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Snelling, daughter of Charles Snelling, circa 1650.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Robinson, daughter of John Robinson and Elizabeth Hutton, after 1658.¹ He died on 16 September 1677 at age 59.¹ He was buried on 21 September 1677 at Sutton, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹ His will (dated 13 September 1677) was proven (by probate) on 26 November 1677.¹
     He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn on 11 November 1637.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between April 1640 and May 1640.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between January 1641 and December 1648.¹ He was appointed Knight on 14 July 1641 at Whitehall Palace, Whitehall, London, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwickshire between 1656 and 1658.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Burgoyne, of Sutton, co. Bedford [E., 1641] in October 1657.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1661 to 1662.¹

     Anne Snelling was the daughter of Charles Snelling.¹ She married Sir Roger Burgoyne, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Burgoyne, 1st Bt. and Jane Kempe, circa 1650.¹ She died circa 1658.¹ She was buried in 1658 at Sutton, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹
     From circa 1650, her married name became Burgoyne.¹

     Charles Snelling lived at London, England^G.¹

     Anne Robinson was born circa 1643.¹ She was the daughter of John Robinson and Elizabeth Hutton.¹ She married Sir Roger Burgoyne, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Burgoyne, 1st Bt. and Jane Kempe, after 1658.¹ She died on 5 February 1693/94, without surviving male issue.¹ She was buried at Wroxall, Warwickshire, England^G.¹
     From after 1658, her married name became Burgoyne.¹
