John Russell Colvin1 

John Russell Colvin was born in May 1807 at Calcutta, India.2 He was the son of James Colquhoun Colvin.1 He married Emma Sophie Sneyd, daughter of Reverend Wetenhall Sneyd and Harriet Attrill, on 10 May 1827 at Calcutta, India.1,3 He died on 9 September 1857 at age 50 at Agra, India.2
He was educated at East India College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of the North-West Provinces of BEngal.1
