     Simon John Buckmaster was born on 1 April 1956.¹ He is the son of Hon. Colin John Buckmaster and May Gibbon.¹ He married Emma Elizabeth Stanier, daughter of Field-Marshal Sir John Wilfred Stanier and Cicely Constance Lambert, on 12 March 1983.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ )

     Field-Marshal Sir John Wilfred Stanier was born on 6 October 1925.³ He was the son of Harold Allen Stanier and Penelope Rose Price.³ He married Cicely Constance Lambert, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Denis M. Lambert and Elizabeth U. Cadbury, on 19 November 1955 at Danbury Parish Church, Danbury, Essex, England.^3,2 He died on 10 November 2007 at age 82.³
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1978.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1982.² He was Chief of the General Staff between 1982 and 1985.³ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire in 1987.² He held the office of Constable of the Tower of London between 1990 and 1996.³

     Emma Elizabeth Stanier was born on 13 May 1957 at The Louise Margaret Hospital, Aldershot, Hampshire, England.² She is the daughter of Field-Marshal Sir John Wilfred Stanier and Cicely Constance Lambert.^1,3 She married Simon John Buckmaster, son of Hon. Colin John Buckmaster and May Gibbon, on 12 March 1983.¹
     From 12 March 1983, her married name became Buckmaster.

     George John Buckmaster was born in 1984.¹ He is the son of Simon John Buckmaster and Emma Elizabeth Stanier.¹

     Hugo Denis Buckmaster was born in 1987.¹ He is the son of Simon John Buckmaster and Emma Elizabeth Stanier.¹

     Toby Colin Buckmaster was born in 1991.¹ He is the son of Simon John Buckmaster and Emma Elizabeth Stanier.¹

     Rachel May Buckmaster was born in 1988.¹ She is the daughter of Simon John Buckmaster and Emma Elizabeth Stanier.¹

     Michael Anthony Stanley Buckmaster was born on 19 October 1959.¹ He is the son of Hon. Colin John Buckmaster and May Gibbon.¹
     He was educated at Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Ann Susan Buckmaster was born on 28 September 1950.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Colin John Buckmaster and May Gibbon.¹ She married Nicholas J. W. Tavener, son of E. A. Tavener, on 3 July 1976.¹
     From 3 July 1976, her married name became Tavener. She lived in 2003 at The Grange, Brettenham, Ipswich, Suffolk, England^G.¹
