     Margaret Sophia Swinton was the daughter of Archibald Henry Swinton.¹ She married John Buchan Buchan-Hepburn, son of Sir John Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 2nd Bt. and Mary Turner Hog, on 31 May 1837.¹ She died on 13 February 1873.¹
     From 31 May 1837, her married name became Buchan-Hepburn.¹

     Captain John Buchan-Hepburn was born on 30 April 1840.¹ He was the son of John Buchan Buchan-Hepburn and Margaret Sophia Swinton.¹ He married Mary Caroline Margaret Fischer, daughter of General John Fischer, in 1888.¹ He died on 18 July 1898 at age 58, leaving:.¹
     He was Captain.¹

     General John Fischer gained the rank of General in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Mary Caroline Margaret Fischer was the daughter of General John Fischer.¹ She married Captain John Buchan-Hepburn, son of John Buchan Buchan-Hepburn and Margaret Sophia Swinton, in 1888.¹ She died on 6 November 1940.¹
     From 1888, her married name became Buchan-Hepburn.¹

     John Trant Buchan-Hepburn was born in 1890.¹ He was the son of Captain John Buchan-Hepburn and Mary Caroline Margaret Fischer.¹ He married Edith Margaret Mitchell Robb, daughter of William Robb, on 7 September 1927.¹ He died on 20 April 1953.¹
     He fought in the First World War, with the Ceylon Planter’s Rifle Corps and Australian Artillery.¹ A rubber planter.¹

     Edith Margaret Mitchell Robb was the daughter of William Robb.¹ She married John Trant Buchan-Hepburn, son of Captain John Buchan-Hepburn and Mary Caroline Margaret Fischer, on 7 September 1927.¹ She died in 1980.¹
     From 7 September 1927, her married name became Buchan-Hepburn.¹

She lived in 2003 at 38 Queen’s Crescent, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹
