     Reverend Archibald Douglas was born before 1540.2 He was the son of William Douglas, 3rd of Whittinghame and Elizabeth Lauder.3 He married Lady Jean Hepburn, daughter of Patrick Hepburn, 3rd Earl of Bothwell and Agnes Sinclair, circa 1578.1,2 He died after 1587.2
     He was the Rector at Douglas, ScotlandG.1 In 1581 he was forfeited by Act of Parliament for the murder of Lord Darnley.4

     Sir Adam Hepburn was born circa 1457.2 He was the son of Adam Hepburn, Master of Hailes and Helen Home.1 He married Elizabeth Ogston, daughter of Walter Ogston of that Ilk and unknown daughter Abernethy. He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, EnglandG, killed in action.3
     He lived at Craigs, Kirkcudbrightshire, ScotlandG.1 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.3
