He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th Hussars.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet FitzHerbert, of Tissington Hall, co. Derby [G.B., 1784] on 4 January 1906.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire in 1909.2
