     He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Principal Assistant to the Secretary of the Admiralty.¹ He was Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹ He was Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1933.¹

     Emily Violet Taylor is the daughter of George Taylor.¹ She married Charles Mathewes Bruce, son of Colonel Elliott Armstrong Bruce and Mary Rebecca Dawson, on 20 February 1929.¹
     From 20 February 1929, her married name became Bruce.

     Mary Anne Sophia Bruce is the daughter of Colonel Elliott Armstrong Bruce and Mary Rebecca Dawson.¹ She married William E. Fenton-Wingate on 20 September 1900.¹
     From 20 September 1900, her married name became Fenton-Wingate.

     William E. Fenton-Wingate married Mary Anne Sophia Bruce, daughter of Colonel Elliott Armstrong Bruce and Mary Rebecca Dawson, on 20 September 1900.¹ He died on 4 August 1914.¹

     Mary Grove Annesley is the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Arthur Grove Annesley and Elizabeth Mahon.¹ She married Warden Hatton Flood, son of O’Donovan Flood, on 21 April 1835.^1,2

     From 21 March 1911, her married name became Bruce.

     Michael McCubbin Bruce was born on 15 November 1844.¹ He was the son of Alexander Fairlie Bruce and Marion Harriet Cathcart.¹ He married Margaret Kerr, daughter of Robert Kerr, in 1878.¹ He died on 19 December 1909 at age 65.¹
