     Mary Magdalene Broughton is the daughter of Thomas Delves Broughton and Elizabeth Hester Rowlls Legh.¹ She married Archibald William Blane, son of Thomas Blane and Elizabeth Oliphant, on 10 April 1834.¹
     From 10 April 1834, her married name became Blane.¹

     Archibald William Blane was born on 29 March 1788 at St. Luke, London, England.² He was the son of Thomas Blane and Elizabeth Oliphant.^1,2 He married Mary Magdalene Broughton, daughter of Thomas Delves Broughton and Elizabeth Hester Rowlls Legh, on 10 April 1834.¹ He died on 2 November 1852 at age 64 at Booral, New South Wales, Australia.^1,2
     He held the office of Member of the Council [Mauritius].² He was Collector of Customs of the Island of Mauritius.² He was Director and Deputy Governor of the Australian Agricultural Company.²

     Thomas Blane is the son of Gilbert Blane and Agnes McFadzen.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Oliphant, daughter of James Oliphant.²
     He lived at New York, U.S.A.²

     Gilbert Blane was the son of Andrew Blane and Jane MacKie.² He married, secondly, Agnes McFadzen, daughter of John McFadzen.² He married, firstly, Hannah Binning.² He died in 1771.²
     He lived at Blanefield, Kirkoswald, Argyllshire, Scotland.²

     Sir Gilbert Blane, 1st Bt. was born on 29 August 1749 at Blanefield, Kirkoswald, Ayrshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Gilbert Blane and Agnes McFadzen.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Gardiner, daughter of Abraham Gardiner and Mary Newman, on 11 July 1786 at Marylebone, London, England.² He died on 26 June 1854 at age 104 at London, England.²
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Blane.¹ He was Physician-in-Ordinary to King George IV.² He was Physician-in-Ordinary to King William IV.²

     Edward Delves Broughton was born on 23 October 1782.² He was the son of Rev. Sir Thomas Broughton, 6th Bt. and Mary Wicker.¹ He was baptised on 11 December 1782.¹ He married Elizabeth Batt, daughter of John Batt, on 25 October 1808.¹ He died on 24 April 1825 at age 42.¹

     Elizabeth Batt was the daughter of John Batt.¹ She married Edward Delves Broughton, son of Rev. Sir Thomas Broughton, 6th Bt. and Mary Wicker, on 25 October 1808.¹ She died on 13 March 1857.¹
     From 25 October 1808, her married name became Broughton.¹

     John Batt lived at Moditonham Hall, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Edward Delves Broughton was born on 6 October 1816.¹ He was the son of Edward Delves Broughton and Elizabeth Batt.¹ He married Penelope Hammond, daughter of unknown Hammond, on 22 September 1847.¹ He died on 6 October 1889 at age 73.¹
     He lived at Wistaston Hall, Cheshire, England^G.¹
